Masters Hall of Fame Announces David Dye As The 2021 Keynote Speaker

COSTA MESA, Calif. - May 31, 2020 - Dr. Daniel Hect, Chairman, and CEO of the Masters Hall of Fame has announced Soke David Dye as the keynote speaker at the 2021 MHOF Banquet to be held on August 14th 2021. Location TBD.

"Sensei Dye was a co-founding member of the Masters Hall of Fame. I cannot think of anyone more qualified to be the 2021 Keynote Speaker. Soke Dye has spent the last two decades working to promote excellence in the martial arts in leadership positions within our organization," said Dr. Daniel Hect, Masters Hall of Fame Chairman.

Hect continued: "Dye Sensei has dedicated his life to the martial arts in pursuit of excellence in mind, body, and spirit and in the core values this organization promotes. His six-decade-long commitment to these principles, the last forty years at his Shuyokan Dojo in Costa Mesa, has engendered the respect and admiration of martial artists and community leaders worldwide. I am thrilled to have him as our keynote speaker."

Dye Sensei holds a 10th dan as the Soke of Shuyokan Ryu, a 6th dan in Shioda Aikido, 6th dan in Kaihewalu Lua, 5th dans in Kodokan Judo & Jujitsu, and a 3rd dan in Shotokan Karate Jutsu.

He has been honored at several martial arts halls of fame including:

World Martial Arts Hall of Fame, 1993
Masters Hall of Fame, 2000
World Head of Family Sokeship Council, 2001
U.S.A. Martial Arts Hall of Fame, 2008

Service through community is central to Dye Sensei's life as not only a husband and father but with 42 exemplary years in law enforcement. In addition, he has taught seminars to Special Forces at Fort Bragg NC, West Point Military Police Academy NY, Marine Recruiting Depot San Diego, CA.. and to US Immigration in San Pedro CA.

"I am beyond excited to be the Masters Hall of Fame Keynote Speaker," Dye said. "I have always passionately embraced the mission of the Masters Hall of Fame, and appreciate this opportunity to speak directly to martial arts leaders worldwide."

Dye, a retired Masters board member, will speak to the Masters Hall of Fame inductees and their guests, as well as the entire martial arts community through Kamatoy Media Group (KMG). KMG will cover the Masters Hall of Fame with KZTC Channel 7, a San Diego California based Television Station.
