Heroes Community Support Network for Mental Wellness Offered For Veterans and Frontline Workers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 30, 2020 - After The Impact (ATI) facilitates custom treatment plans for Military Veterans and Retired Professional Athletes for the unseen injuries from the battlefield and field of play, with a focus on mental wellness and addiction. The pandemic has created new mental health concerns for many already compromised. Isolation and lack of personal interaction can magnify everything.

Dr. Jerry Kaforey, ATI Clinical Director, explains, "We needed to get to the veterans and athletes that we serve to help them through this time of isolation, so we created the network to be a robust, interactive space for peer support. We have mental health specialists available and online should anyone need more advanced help."

The stories from the front lines, including the recent suicide of an Emergency Room Doctor, revealed that this network could benefit other heroes like the ones working directly with Covid-19. The decision was made to make it available for those from the Battle Lines, Scrimmage Lines and Front Lines. The network is also available as an app for those who want to access it on their phones.
