Transgender Visual Artist Jacob Clayton Debuts Warhol-Inspired Work

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Feb. 18, 2020 - Emerging visual artist Jacob Clayton is thrilled to represent the transgender art community with his Andy Warhol-inspired Marilyn at Access and Opportunity, Diversity and Inclusion. The large mixed-media piece takes you from female to male and back to female again, without you even knowing it, all through one iconic image.

This juried exhibition features works that define what it means to be a good citizen in a global context, a person appreciative of all cultures and committed to fairness with respect and equality for all.

About Jacob Clayton:

Jacob Clayton uses photography, collage, and mixed media as means to communicate his experience living for decades as a closeted transgender man in America.

Current projects include Deprivation of Self, Portraits, which expands the vocabulary of photo-based art to challenge gender identity, expression, and expectation – from every side.
