HMRC will be discussing customs post Brexit at C5's 12th Advanced Conference on Customs Compliance

LONDON - Feb. 13, 2020 - Whether you were a remain or a leave supporter, the UK has now left the EU. Now it's time to start negotiating a trade deal with the EU. During the transition period (currently until 31/12/20), nothing will change with regard to the movement of goods to and from the EU.

The free trade deal is likely to be the most difficult part of the negotiations, while other areas such as security and the environment are expected to be fairly straightforward. Bearing this in mind, getting prepared for Brexit's impact is extremely important as businesses will need to start completing customs entries on shipments to and from the EU at the end of transition. So now is the time to check that your Duty, VAT and customs procedures are in order and that you are not underpaying or overpaying. Not only is this important moving forward, but a review is also wise to ensure you are prepared for a HMRC audit at any time.

Our expert speakers from around the globe including HMRC would be happy to help with this at C5's Advanced Conference on Customs Compliance, including:
Delphi Technologies (UK)
ExxonMobil (UK)
Burberry (UK)
Flexport (Netherlands)
Bentley Motors Ltd (UK)
