NORTH READING, Mass. - Jan. 26, 2020 - The North Reading Democratic Town Committee recently hosted Reading-Native and Candidate for Representative to the 6th Congressional District, Jamie Zahlaway Belsito.

Belsito was excited to speak to the North Reading Democratic Committee and gathered Democrats last Tuesday, January 7th, at the Horseshoe Grill in North Reading. The evening provided an opportunity for the community to learn about candidates running for office in Massachusetts as well as for Belsito to talk about her campaign to be the next Congresswoman in Washington representing the communities of the 6th Congressional District.

"It's wonderful to be here at 'The Shoe,' which I remember fondly from my childhood." The Zahlaway family has lived in Reading for several generations. Belsito told the audience "I'm from this district and I'm running because I am committed to representing the hard-working people of the district where I've lived and where I grew up". Belsito touted her over 20 plus years of experience passing legislation at the federal and state level and her continued commitment to the District. "For me, my campaign is really about getting back to putting the families and communities of the 6th District first once again,'' said Belsito.
