Russian State Symphony Orchestra to Perform in Fort Myers February 10

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Jan. 24, 2020 - The Russian State Symphony Orchestra will be in Fort Myers February 10 to perform at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall as part of the Fort Myers Community Concert Association 2020 season.

"This is an amazing and very rare opportunity to hear these musicians in concert," said Fort Myers Community Association President Mary Lee Mann. "The Russian State Symphony is known for its rich sound, nobility of expression, and skilfully balanced sound."

The orchestra will present Glinka: Rusian and Ludmila Overture, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4, and Grieg: Piano Concerto with pianist Pavel Nessessia, who has been called one of the most remarkable Russian pianists of his generation.

The Russian State Symphony is one of five classical performances to be presented this season by the Fort Myers Community Concert Association.

The remaining concerts are the Russian National Ballet performing Sleeping Beauty on March 2 and the Siberian Virtuosi March 19.

Ticket prices are $35 for lower balcony and $25 for upper balcony seats. A limited number of orchestra and mezzanine seating is available at $55 each.

The Fort Myers Community Concert Association, now in its 71st concert season, is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization founded by the legendary Barbara B. Mann in 1949 to bring world-class entertainment to Southwest Florida at affordable prices. The association consists of more than 1,700 members, underwriters and sponsors.
