SAINT CLOUD, Minn. - Jan. 8, 2020 - Luther St. Cloud Honda of the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers Association (GTCHDA) will be donating $5,000 to Westwood Elementary School in a check presentation ceremony on January 10. This donation will bring the association's total donation amount to $100,000.
The donation is part of the association's campaign, "Life is Better Thanks to the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers," where each dealer selects a local school for a special donation. This initiative also furthers the group's mission to be actively involved in improving the community.
Chad Arthur, General Manager of Luther St. Cloud Honda, said "The St. Cloud community is incredible, and we are beyond excited to be able to give back. Helping our local schools is an awesome way to get involved in our community."
Arthur and Adam Leaver from American Honda Motor Co. will present the check to Derek Branton, Principal of Westwood Elementary, in a ceremony on January 10. This donation also marks a major milestone, as it brings the total donations to local schools to $100,000.
Branton also commented "I put a high value on education as it is the catalyst to changing the future. I believe this can be achieved through a partnership among schools, families, and communities. It is so encouraging to see Luther St. Cloud Honda stepping in and helping schools."
The GTCHDA has donated to local schools as part of the "Life is Better Thanks to the Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers" campaign since November 2017.
