PHILADELPHIA - Dec. 16, 2019 - Jennifer DiBenedetto has spent over seven years researching and collecting information about the life and career of the late musician Jim Croce in hopes of one day publishing a book. This month, she finally decided to take a different route and to publish all her findings and information on a new blog called The Croce Chronicles.
Jim Croce, a Philadelphia native, was a major force in music from 1971-1973 before being killed in a plane crash in Nachitoches, LA on September 20, 1973. During his short career, his hit singles and three albums would share the Billboard Top 100 charts with such acts as George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Ricky Nelson, and many others.
DiBenedetto hopes to bring to light just how extensive and tirelessly Croce worked, wrote and traveled to promote his music. She will be publishing his daily posts about his career starting with the signing of his album contract with ABC records in April 1972.
