Toronto, Ontario - Bits In Glass (BIG), an award-winning software consulting firm serving clients across North America, will be exhibiting at the SickKids 7th annual innovation event: Transforming Care.
Transforming Care will take place on November 27 at the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research & Learning (686 Bay Street). The 2019 conference will focus broadly on innovation in the healthcare system.
Yuri Yatsenko from the BIG team will be offering live demonstrations of the company’s award-winning Home Health Manager application, built on Appian and available on the Appian AppMarket. Yuri will be available throughout the day from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Home Health Manager helps home healthcare organizations effectively manage daily operations with nurse scheduling, appointment routing via Google Maps integration, visit verification, appointment forms, direct upload capabilities, records of current and historical patient information, and much more.
By 2030 there will be over 9.5 million seniors in Canada, which will account for 23% of the Canadian population. A 2013 survey conducted by the Royal Bank of Canada found that 83% of those surveyed would prefer to age in place – continue living in their own home and pay for home care rather than live in assisted-living facilities or with family members.
“Improvements in-home healthcare technology can help patients improve their quality of life, and help care providers when it comes to managing nurses in the field,” said David Hauser, Bits In Glass Founding Partner and Appian Lead. “Nurses need to be focused on providing great care - not juggling maps and papers or struggling to communicate with administrators.”
