Kuala Lumpur/Singapore 31 October 2019: Basis Bay, a leading provider of Sustainable Cloud and IT Infrastructure Services, remains true to its corporate philosophy of responsiveness to social issues. Recently, Basis Bay contributed to the annual Children for Children (CFC) fundraising and outreach event held in conjunction with Children’s Day in Singapore.
The event saw 1,000 underprivileged children from over 50 schools across Singapore who were brought together for a fun-filled day at the S.E.A Aquarium and The Maritime Experiential Museum in Resorts World Sentosa. The fundraising programme celebrated its 11th edition this year, and successfully raised a total of SGD 204,786 for the charity. The annual CFC has been jointly organized by CHIJ Kellock, not-for-profit arts organization and charity The RICE Company Limited, The Business Times (BT) and Resorts World Sentosa. Since 2008, it has brought more than 10,000 children to various iconic destinations in Singapore to celebrate Children’s Day.
Basis Bay Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Praba Thiagarajah said the company was honoured to participate in the event and support CFC and BT Budding Artist Fund (BAF) to help financially disadvantaged children and youths.
“It’s a great opportunity for Basis Bay to join an initiative such as this which allows organisations to come together and contribute to the betterment of the lives of underprivileged members of the society. We strongly advocate that business organizations take responsibility to give back to society in the essence of corporate sustainability,” Dato’ Praba explained.
