OAK BROOK, Ill. - Oct. 24, 2019 - Early screening is the answer to fighting Oral Cancer and the Oral Cancer Initiative is providing screening through their independent certified dentists around the country. The new OCI website will launch at the end of this month. It will provide consumers with information about the dangers of Oral Cancer plus where the screening events will take place. There will be a page to register for a Free screening on the website.
These Free screening events will be at schools, churches, and corporate locations around the country. Oral Cancer, and it's related cancers, are killing one person an hour in the U.S. "Thanks to the dedication of our dentists and our sponsors, we will be able to reach into communities starting in December with Free screening events. These first 100 events will be in the fifty largest U.S. cities in the U.S. and a suburb of each of those cities." stated an OCI event organizer. "We realize we may be fighting Santa Clause at this time of year but someone taking a few minutes out of their shopping time could save their life."
Consumers will be required to register for their screening on the new OCI website. They will be emailing the consumer a HIPAA privacy form and patient history form once they have registered. They will also be emailed an appointment time range of one hour. This will hopefully eliminate long wait times at the events. The oral exam typically takes only a few minutes. Each person will be given time with a dentist to review the results in a private consultation after their exam.
This is just the start of some of the programs that Oral Cancer Initiative and it's sponsors will be offering consumers.
