PHILADELPHIA - Oct. 7, 2019 -<p>The cyber security news website AskCyberSecurity.com is pleased to announce that this is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Each October the collaborative effort between the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Cyber Security Alliance attempts to raise public awareness about cyber security, data privacy, and protecting individuals and businesses from hackers and scammers.

<p>Ransomware attacks paralyzed more than 30 governmental organizations and schools in the first half of 2019. Hackers infiltrated the 2016 US Presidential elections which was later blamed on North Korea. Now, Iranian hackers allegedly attempted to infiltrate the US President Trump's re-election campaign.</p>

<p>We also witnessed massive data breaches that affected millions of people. The massive Equifax data breach compromised the personal and financial data of 147 million people worldwide. <p>It is estimated that there will be over three million unfilled cyber security jobs by 2021. Our website also lists cyber security job openings as well as IT job postings. The demand for cyber security professionals is outpacing the number of qualified candidates.</p>
