MAIDSTONE, England - Sept. 30, 2019 - This year over 200 nominations were received from companies across Kent with entries judged on dedication, commitment, innovation, career development, overall reputation, and examples of caring excellence.
Of the 90 finalists congratulations now goes to the 18 category winners listed below:
Residential Champion Award went to Atlanta Hankin, from Littlestone-on-Sea based Lindau Care Home.
Ancillary Worker (back office) Award went to Luke Stanton McGee from New Romney based Belmont Healthcare.
Care Innovator Esther Award, Sally Taylor from Ashford based Beech Tree Total Care.
Community Care Residential Manager Award went to Alison Worsfold, and the Workforce Development Award went to Twyla Mart, both from Ashford based Hilton Nursing Partners.
Community Homecare Champion went to Teresa Baxter from Whistable based Tender Loving Carers.
Supported Living Registered Manager Award went to Jack Wright from Folkestone based LDC Care Ltd.
PBS Champion Award went to Patricia Bamblett from Kent County Council
The Care Team Award went to the Day Resources Service and Specialist Care Champion Award went to Lisa Jones, both from Brompton based Kent Autistic Trust.
Care Newcomer Award went to Cheyenne Williams, Dementia Champion Award went to Clare Dodds, Residential Registered Manager went to Jill Hyland, and the Putting People First Award went to Anna Kowalska-Zwierc, all from Orpington based Nicholas James Care Homes Ltd.
Care Nutrition Award went to Katherine Jordan, from Orpington based Regal Care.
Ancillary Worker Support Award went to Stella Davis from Canterbury based Strode Park.
Supported Living Champion Award went to Gerri Sales from Herne Bay based Terrance House.
The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care went to Ann Tidmarsh from Kent Council Council.
Ann Taylor, Chair of KICA says: "This is a really special event, not only is it the one night where carers can let their hair down, it's also a night where they are applauded and recognised for their dedication and hard work supporting vulnerable individuals enjoy a quality of life they probably wouldn't have without them. They deserve to be celebrated, social care isn't an easy job, and these individuals put their heart and soul into it."
The Annual Care Awards celebrate the work carried out by carers and care companies in Kent. The awards provide a chance to reward those people who have simply delivered something awesome whilst recognising the Kent care sector as a whole showing appreciation and recognising the good work everyone does day in day out, year after year. All winners of the awards will automatically be entered in the nominations for the Great British Care Awards South East section in Brighton in November.
