September 28, 2019 - The 2019 Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon, the second-largest marathon in terms of scale in Guangzhou, is scheduled to be held on December 22.

A total of 20,000 spots are available for runners from home and abroad. Those who want to participate in the event have been able to sign up online (www.hp-marathon.com) from 2 pm on September 22 to 2 pm on October 12.

The Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon, which was first held in 2017, is the first marathon at the district level in Guangzhou and is also the first large-scale marathon event organized by a national development zone in China.

This year's event has added 5,000 more spots compared with previous years, allowing more amateur runners to take part in it.

In addition, runners from other cities, especially those from cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, are encouraged to take part in this year's marathon.

Police officers from all over the country are also able to sign up the event for the first time to showcase their athleticism, while also ensuring the safety of the event.
