A Eugene Online TV channel has released a special feature on the newly launched New Leaf Hyperbarics, a special form of oxygen therapy using state of the art oxygen technology. Eugene's Best showcased New Leaf Hyperbarics with an interview with Matt McCarl, the owner of the company, who demonstrated the new service offered by New Leaf Hyperbarics.

The video explains how Matt became inspired to start the Eugene branch of the New Leaf Hyperbarics company, when a few years ago he was experiencing a major life change and needed to find a way to improve his lifestyle. While in Washington, he was able to meet with the Tahoma wing of New Leaf Hyperbarics and experienced how beneficial the treatment can be.
He goes on to highlight specifically what hyperbaric treatments can typically be used for, and who they can benefit most, including athletes, users who work out often, or patients who are about to go to the hospital for surgery.
The New Leaf Hyperbarics video explains how hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a process in which the patient inhales 90-95% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. Under normal circumstances, oxygen is transported throughout the body by red blood cells, but with hyperbaric treatment the oxygen is dissolved into all of the body's fluids and even the bone.
The company offers use of three new hyperbaric chambers for patients, listed on the company website as mild hyperbaric chambers and HBOT hyperbaric chambers. When a patient uses one of the chambers, a trained technician will be on hand to guide them through the process. He said: "We're almost a year in and doing amazing things here in Eugene. The equipment is made by OxyHealth right here in the USA, and is FDA approved. People can use them in their homes, so we rent and sell them as well."
