Taipei City, Taiwan — Wine lovers are some of the most energized purchasers of products that will enable them to better utilize or showcase their products. The Deck is the type of product that will appeal to the niche market of wine enthusiasts, not only for its utilitarian function, but its chic design and sustainable material “street cred.” Made from recycled paper and hand selected wood, the Deck is meets all the criteria for green-minded shoppers, as well as, those who may have limited space in their home. The accordion-styled design allows for Deck to be minimized and put into a regular sized kitchen drawer when not in use.

“We've actually been working on the design for two years now,” says Rusty Lin. “In our minds we wanted to create something that was attractive, sure, but something functional, sustainable, and a product people could actually make some use of. The Deck is the result of countless design attempts with eco-friendly Hive paper until we got it right.”

The Deck currently rests in the hands of Kickstarter for large-scale production and distribution. The designers are hoping that others will catch on to the potential of their product and want to be a part of its evolution.
