Demi Lovato Concert Tickets Sales Spike After Billboard Rulebreaker Announcement

The sales of Demi Lovato concert tickets soared after Billboard announced that it will name the perennial pop singer as its first €œRulebreaker" at the annual Billboard Women in Music event on December 11, said concert ticket resale site ConcertBank.com. Lovato will perform at the event alongside Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Alabama Shakes singer, Brittany Howard.

Janice Min, co-president of the company that owns Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter cited Lovato's ability to use and not hide her personal story in her music as a prime reason for the award. Min added that she has a passion and drive to empower other girls and women, making her a true force in the industry and a €œrule breaker" who has inspired millions.

Lovato's accomplishments include five albums in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 list, and 22 songs listed in the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Lovato will accept the award between concert dates for iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball Tour, which also saw an appreciable spike in sales and concert ticket prices after Billboard's announcement. Tickets for the Z100 Jingle Ball, which also features Gomez, The Weekend, Calvin Harris and Nick Jonas, are among the hottest holiday concert tickets available. The national tour features the most-wanted acts of 2015 all performing on one stage, sponsored by local radio stations across the country.

Demi Lovato tickets for the Madison Square Garden show on December 11 are in very short supply, with just over 600 concert tickets for sale as of this morning, said a ConcertBank.com spokesperson. Premium tickets for seats on the floor in front of the stage are commanding four and five figure prices, but there are still tickets available in good seats at far lower prices. Would-be concert-goers should check back frequently if they don't see tickets they like, as the inventory changes frequently and is updated in real time.

Lovato, who began her career as a regular on the children's television show €œBarney and Friends," will also be touring later in 2016 with Nick Jonas in the hotly anticipated [Future Now Tour](http://www.concertbank.com/concerts/future-now-tour-demi-lovato-nick-jonas-tickets). Tickets for the Demi Lovato concert went on sale last week and hit the secondary market within hours, according to a spokesperson for the online ticket seller. There was an appreciable increase in sales for the tour after the Billboard announcement for the spring and summer concert tour, the concert ticket reseller reports.
