DAVIS, FL, February 09, 2023 - William D. Mejia Sr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than three decades of excellence in the criminal division of the Bronx Supreme Court, Mr. Mejia has earned distinction as a senior court officer. From 1986 until his retirement in 2010, he focused his efforts on escorting prisoners from the correctional facility to bring them in front of the judge. He provided security to the courthouse for arraignment and trail proceedings. He initially worked in the Bronx Housing Court, working with those who had problems paying or collecting rent payments.
Prior to starting his private career, Mr. Mejia served honorably as an E-5 for the United States Navy from 1970 to 1974. He then was a staff sergeant E-6 for the United States Army from 1976 to 1981. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was honored with a Battalion Achievement Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.
Following his military service, Mr. Mejia began his career working at Bowery Savings Bank and was a cargo agent for Aerolineas Argentine Airline in 1982. He then joined UPS in 1985 for a year. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned an associate's degree in accounting from LaGuardia Community College. Within the coming years, Mr. Mejia intends to spend more of his retirement traveling, enjoying new experiences.
