WASHINGTON - April 14, 2020 - March of Dimes is now accepting nominations for the 20th Annual Heroines of Washington awards program. Presented by Perspecta, the awards honors professional women in the D.C. region for their dedication to and leadership in community service efforts.
Awards will be presented for the following categories:
• Healthcare Heroine Award
• Professional Services Heroine Award
• Public Sector Heroine Award
• Real Estate Heroine Award
• Technology Heroine Award
• Rising Heroine Award
• Lifetime Heroine Award – Presented by Perspecta
• Corporate Heroine Award

"The 20th anniversary of the March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Awards comes at a time when it is especially powerful to lift up our community and provide support to those most in need," said Kate Leib, March of Dimes Executive Director of Market Development. Winners will be formally recognized at a black-tie awards gala Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner. Guests will include directors, CEOs and other high-level individuals from local corporations and government agencies. Proceeds will support March of Dimes programs, research, community services, education and advocacy to advance research that supports the health of all moms and babies.
Since 2001, March of Dimes has honored over 126 "Heroines" and raised more than $3.4 million to support the March of Dimes mission. Sponsors include Perspecta, Boston Properties, ASRC Federal, M&T Bank.
