How to Create a Video Screencast with Jing

Taking a screenshot with Jing may be easy, but video screencasting is tricky. With this article, you can create a video screencast with just a few extra steps.

Steps:

1)Install the Jing program on your Windows-based PC, if you haven't already done so.

2)Open Jing from your Start menu, if it isn't already started.

3)Click the Jing sun from the top of the screen.

4)Click the "Capture" button from the top of the screen.

5)Click the "top left" of the area of the screen you'd like to screencast from.

6)Scroll directly downwards(with no angling accepted).

7)Pull the mouse to the right of the screen where you'd like the video location to stop showing(bottom right-most corner).

8)Click the "Capture Video" button(which looks like a movie reel piece of movie tape.

9)Wait out the three seconds for the movie to begin. You can pre-position the mouse on the area where you'd like to begin filming, but it's traditional to keep it someplace within the video-capturing area.

10)Begin creating your movie.

11)Capture every click that proves what you are doing to create the screencast.

12)Locate the Screencast controls toolbox at one of the corners of the screencast's box.
For whole-screen screencasts, this box will underlay the bottom left-corner of the screen. However, it can also be found, in other screencasts, in the top-left corner of the screencast.

13)Click the "Stop" button when you are finished.
If you aren't set to stop, but you need to take a break, there is also a Pause/Play button on this same toolbox when you prepare the screencast.

14)Share the item with Screencast.com, or save it. Share it with whatever places you feel would best fit the decision. Make it available to as many people as you feel it would reach the widest audience of "listeners".
