Headquartered in Jinning County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, Yunnan Phosphorus Chemicals Group Corporation Limited (YPC) was established in December, 2001 after the system reform of Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Industry (Group) Corporation. Our predecessors are Kunyang Phosphate Mine Bureau and Yunnan Phosphate Chemical Industry (Group) Corporation. YPC became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuntianhua Group in August, 2005.
With the firm guided thoughts, specialized operation and group-oriented management of Yuntianhua Group, YPC has adopted independent legal management system. Till the end of 2008, YPC has had the total asset of RMB5.4 billion. Our main products and services are flotation phosphate concentrate, scrubbed phosphate concentrate, phosphate powder, phosphate rock for yellow phosphorus and fused calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, screened ore, industrial yellow phosphorus, large earth and stone work, and airport runway construction. Scrubbed phosphate concentrate and low-arsenic yellow phosphorus are awarded as Provincial High Quality Products. Our Yiyang brand was awarded the title of "Yunnan Province Famous Brand". YPC passed ISO9001:2000 quality management certificate, ISO-14001-2004 International environment management certificate, OHSAA18001-1999 occupational health and safety management certificate, and measurement management system certificate. We are a first-grade enterprise of the State safety standardization as well as a qualified clean production enterprise of Yunnan Province.
YPC integrates geological survey, mine design, phosphate rock dressing, phosphate chemical industry, and technology research and development. With four large open pit mines respectively in Haikou, Anning, Jinning and Jianshan, we have rich phosphate resources. Our mining and transport facilities are imported, which constitute the world advanced mines. With five sets of scrubbing equipment and three sets of flotation equipment in Haikou, Anning and Jinning Mines, our company annually produces 8.2 million metric tons of raw ore, 8.28 million metric tons of scrubbed dressing ore, 8.5 million metric tons of flotation phosphate concentrate, 100,000 metric tons of ore-dressing reagent, and 10,000 metric tons of yellow phosphorus. Our company is also qualified with the first-grade of large earth and stone work and airport runway construction, as well as the third-grade of blasting by excellent performance of construction.
YPC owns a R&D centre. Thanks to the technique development and management system and high quality research and development groups, we have achieved a number of technical patents and know-how. After surmounting the technical obstacle of collophanite flotation, we have developed flotation process and dressing reagent independently, which provide basis for the design of large flotation device and realize mid-low-grade phosphate industrialization in Yunnan Province. Yunnan mid-low grade collophanite processing technology development and industrialization projects won the State Science and Technology Progress Awards. Our company has set up Yunnan Engineering Technology Research Center of Phosphate Rock Mining and Beneficiation, Engineering Technology Research Center of the State and postdoctoral workstations.
