Places in your home you often forget to clean

Margao, India, July 19,2019- It’s very easy to neglect certain spots in our house that collect filth and attract germs

Make sure you cover every inch of your house and never miss a dirty spot again. Here is a list of 8 places which you probably forget to clean every time:

Shower curtain: Shower curtains collect a lot of mildew, dirt and soap scum. Instead of living with that dirt, you can clean the stains off the shower curtains by running them through the washing machine. Mix them in with the towels, a mild detergent, and a cup of baking soda to make the shower curtain as good as new.

Toothbrush holder: When cleaning the bathroom, we always skip the toothbrush holder. This hot spot for germs is always overlooked. Make sure that you give your tooth brush holder a good wipe with a damp cloth and soap every once in a while.

Remotes: Television and AC remotes should be on the top of your list on the items that are often overlooked while cleaning. Germs easily pile up on remotes, making it a powerhouse of diseases. Remove the batteries and wipe down the remotes with an anti-bacterial wipe or a disinfectant at least once a week to keep the germs from spreading.

Ceiling fans: When your ceiling fan is not in use, a thick layer of dust tends to collect on its blades. The easiest way to clean your ceiling fan is to put a pillowcase over the fan blade and wipe the dust off with insides of the pillowcase.

Under the bed: It is extremely crucial to clean under your bed. A lot of dust can quickly accumulate there and by cleaning that, you can protect your family from a lot of allergies and complications.

Houseplants: You don’t think about houseplants getting dirty but they do. We suggest that you must never brush the dust off of your hands as the oil from our hands is unhealthy for the plants. So, it’s better to regularly spray your plants with water.

Stuffed animals: These toys are always near the young children at all times, so they regularly need to be cleaned. You can either vacuum clean them or just wash them in the washing machine, once every 6 months.

Door frames: They may not be visible all the time but dust collects in those hard to reach places. Use either a feather duster or a soft cloth to wipe up the top and the entire surface of door frames to remove unwanted dust or dirt getting into you.

Brooms and mops: There’s no point cleaning with a dirty instrument! Soak your broom in water mixed with cleaning soap and soak your mop in water mixed with bleach. Make sure they’re dry before putting them away.
