First-time author April Geremia is celebrating the early release of her debut Christian novel, The Fragrance of Surrender," with a fervent wish. She hopes her story reaches those in need of uplifting during the upcoming holiday season.
My main goal as an author is to bring hope to hurting people," Geremia says. Especially during the holidays when the incidence of depression is so high. My main character struggles with depression, and it brings her to a crisis of faith that has her doubting everything she's ever believed. I hope my readers come away from the story with a renewed sense of wonder and faith."
Geremia has been writing professionally for 20 years, but The Fragrance of Surrender" is her first full-length work of fiction. The busy writer is not resting on her success, though. She's already hard at work on the second book in her Souls of the Sea" series, which is scheduled for a spring release.
