Planet Left has announced that its Kitchen Three Pack for left handers has been selling on Amazon for just over a month, but it has already been chosen by Amazon to be featured in multiple upcoming Lightning Deal promotions.
The three pack has left-handed scissors, a left-handed can opener, and a corkscrew with a left-handed screw. So far, customer feedback has been positive, with many 4-star and 5-star [reviews](http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Left-Left-Handed-Contains-Corkscrew/dp/B013Z6ZG9K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1445137024&sr=8-2&keywords=left+handed_scissors) praising the product.
"Lightning Deals", exclusive to Amazon.com, offer significant discounts on selected products for a short period of time, up to a maximum of 4 hours per deal. Discounts are significant. The kitchen 3-pack will be reduced by 25% for the duration of the lightning deal.
Only a limited amount of stock is available at the reduced rate, and the price returns to normal once that limited stock has run out or the 4 hour period expires, whichever comes first. Often, the time limit of 4 hours is not reached as customers grab the deals very quickly.
For popular products these deals have been known to run out within minutes of being launched, resulting in disappointment for many deal-hunters. Although hugely successful, Amazon's recent Prime Day is a case in point. Many customers got great deals, and Amazon had one of its biggest sales days ever, but there were hundreds of complaints from customers that products sold out before they could buy what they wanted.
For this reason, the founder of Planet Left Lee (Lefty) Nolan, is wanting to make sure that anybody who is interested in getting a hold of a 3-pack for themselves or as a gift, has the opportunity to be reminded of when the deals are taking place. There may be up to four deals between now and Christmas.
He's also stated that the company may offer other deals in between the Amazon Lightning deals, but is somewhat limited by the arrangement with Amazon. He said, "In order to participate in lightning deals at Amazon we are required to maintain the price at near normal levels during the promotional period. But it's still possible for us to reward loyal and interested customers outside of the deal period. For that reason we think people should sign up on the notification list, because even if they miss out on the deal at Amazon, we might still be able to do something for them."
