WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Rabobank has donated $25,000 to the collaborative Westlake Village Regional Family Park and Triunfo YMCA building project currently underway in Westlake Village. Rabobank’s name will be displayed on one of four scoreboards on the park’s six sports fields. The donation came following a tour of the project by Rabobank executives during the official opening of the Kenny Lee Romine baseball "Field of the Dreamer.”
“The season of giving is upon us. Many businesses are seeing that one of the greatest gifts to the area will be the new Westlake Village Regional Park and Triunfo YMCA. This project is promoting unity within the community,” says Ronnie Stone, executive director of the Triunfo YMCA. "Our local businesses are supporting this project for all the right reasons. We are proud of what we’re doing as a team."
Rabobank joins several Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce businesses in championing the park and Y. These include Tavern 101, Homewood Suites, Stonefire Grill and the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Foundation.
Additional naming sponsorships are still available. "We look forward to offering Rabobank and other businesses tremendous name exposure. With our combined patronage, we anticipate 40,000 visits per year,” says Stone.
Stone added, "We are very grateful to North Ranch community residents Lisa and Bill Hopkins, who recently pledged $100,000 for a Veteran Memorial which will be in the park. We are hoping the upcoming season of giving will provide us with another boost in both awareness and funds. It’s been the vision of our incredibly generous lead donor, David Murdock, that this project is built on the foundation of a united community. We are on schedule to open in the fall of 2015.”
