The new project by FEFU’s researchers allows to put up a residential building in a week

For the first time, the technology uses modular sections instead of separate boards which allows significant reduction of assembly time. The spaces built using this method have the highest energy efficiency and heat salvage values among all modern low-weight construction systems and therefore surpass the similar technologies twofold or threefold. Annual specific fuel flow per square meter in a house assembled using this technology is 20 liters as opposed to 300 liters for a standard brick house. This value is reached by increasing the winterization layer’s thickness, expanding the insulant variety and allowing to make diverse insulant combinations.

‘The new technology uses a special construction unit: a hard board which is resistant to transportation damages and easy to assemble, does not change its geometric parameters, and has minimal weight. The basic uniform element of the structure for wall boards, floor structures and frame system is a scale-board H-beam. Our invention consists in using it for these purposes. The elements are manufactured at plants with mechanical-engineering precision’, Yury Yatsenko, head of FEFU’s Wood Processing Laboratory said.

At the present moment, the Canadian technology of wood house construction is most widespread in Russia. It allows to assemble a residential building with area of 100m2 for a month and a half provided that a crew consisting of three workers is involved in construction. In similar conditions, only a week is required for assembly of the same building designed by FEFU’s researchers.

The superiority over the foreign analogue allows to begin the import substitution process in the nearest future. The cost of 1m2 with finishwork in a building assembled using the above-said technology will be about 20,000 rubles. The elements for house construction can be shipped to any part of Russia.

The development of employees of FEFU’s Industrial Production Technologies Chair is protected with four patents which they obtained for their architectural and construction systems, wall panels and floor structures. The houses are manufactured at the small innovation enterprise in the Far-Eastern Federal University called Innovational Wood House Construction.
