ACROSS DUBAI, UAE -- Anglo Arabian Healthcare have launched their latest breast cancer awareness initiative called ‘The Ultimate Selfie’.

The emphasis for this innovative healthcare campaign, is to educate and demonstrate to all women of the importance of carrying out regular self breast examinations correctly with a strong message that ‘Early Detection is the Best Protection’.

According to the Health Authority in Abu Dhabi, early detection of breast cancer through self examination and regular monitoring helps in the full recovery of 98% of cases and minimizes the side effects of intensive treatment. HAAD statistics also showed that up to 80% of all cancerous lumps are discovered by women themselves through conducting regular self-examinations proving the importance of being vigilant for any changes in the breast.

“There is a general misconception that associates breast cancer with just finding a lump in the breast. The Ultimate Selfie video focuses on a strong message that any abnormal changes in the breast such as dimpling, heat, a feeling of heaviness or a change in shape or size should be reported to your healthcare practitioner for further investigation.” Says Julie Adams, Marketing Director for Anglo Arabian Healthcare.
