Interview on Debt Relief and Undocumented Americans

PASADENA, Calif. -- Pasadena, CA (March 1, 2014) – In this terrible economy a record number of people are facing bankruptcy. Undocumented and immigrant Americans face the same economic issues that other Americans face, yet commonly, they are afraid to access the legal system to file bankruptcy which would afford them the "fresh start" that most Americans obtain through filing for bankruptcy.

“For years I've been meeting with clients who are in debt and terrified about the future. Many have been taken advantage of by creditors, yet they are afraid to access the the legal system that would afford them a "fresh start" through bankruptcy. They wonder how they can survive in a world that judges them based on their immigrant status," states Daniela Romero.

Attorney Patricia Corrales, host of Justice Matters, has a deep concern for this struggling community and recently, she interviewed Attorney Daniela Romero on the important topic of debt relief through bankruptcy and the special impact it has on the immigrant community. Access the interview here.
