The Amarnath Yatra of the year 2014 has been announced in New Delhi in the presence of Jammu & Kashmir’s Governor and the Chairman of Sri Amarnathji Shrine Board.

The Yatra will commence on 28th June and will continue till 10th August, which is the auspicious day of Hindu festival ‘Raksha Bandhan’. The registration of this holy tour will start from 1str March 2014.

This meeting in New Delhi was also attended by Shri Ravi Shankar, Dr. Kapil Vatsalya, retired Judge G.D. Sharma, Priest Bhajan Sapori, Vijay Dhar and Dr. Ved Ghai along with the honorable Shrine Board members like Naveen Kumar Choudhary & Pritpal Singh.

13th June 2014 has been fixed for the divine worship, which is also the day of Jeshta Purnima according to the Hindu Calander. Shrine Board officials had decided and said “7500 pilgrims will be allowed for the Shivalingam darshan per day, which will exclude the pilgrims going by the helicopter”.

All the interested pilgrims are requested to present their clear medical certificate at the time of registration. These medical certificates should be cleared by the doctors registered by the Shrine Board.

A fixed food menu, which will be served to the devotee travelers, has been set and distributed to the food stalls and langar stalls, which are set up on the way to holy cave.
