The Andean Sky God Website Finds More Evidence Linking Tiwanaku To The Nazca Lines

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The lines and ground drawings of Nazca --fully intelligible only from the sky-- have long been considered one of the world's great mysteries. Literally dozens of theories have been proposed to explain the lines ranging from the easily refutable (astronomical calendar) to the ridiculous (to sell balloon-ride tickets) to the absurd (landing strips for alien spacecraft). The Andean Sky God Website's theory joins the camp of the seemingly nonsensical: Made to be seen by the sky god of Tiwanaku, a flying aquatic no more than half the size of a man!

Tiwanaku was an ancient city located high in the Andes several hundred kilometers from Nazca. Contemporaneous with Nazca, the Tiwanaku civilization is known for its "crying god," which is depicted over the doorway of the famed Gateway of the Sun. According to Morten St. George, founder of the Andean Sky God Website, those are not tears we see but bubbles. The creature is surrounded with fish-head and shellfish symbols which indicate its aquatic nature, and bird-heads symbolize its ability to fly.

St. George theorizes that the people of Tiwanaku believed this creature lived in the sea, so they made geoglyphs (ground drawings) in coastal regions to attract its attention as soon as it emerged from the sea and went into flight over land. In his latest investigations, St. George looks beyond Nazca. In Paracas, the Candelabra trident geoglyph, corresponding to the sky god's tri-pod tail as seen in Tiwanaku drawings, points southeast (tilting left on the northern slope) to Tiwanaku. In Palpa, a geoglyph depicts the sky god with three legs corresponding to the three aquatic appendages seen in Paracas and Tiwanaku.

In northern Chile, the four upward protrusions of the Atacama Giant geoglyph, corresponding to the sky god's four cranial gills as seen in Tiwanaku drawings, point northeast (slanted left on the western slope per satellite photograph) to Tiwanaku. The Atacama Giant, like the Astronaut geoglyph in Nazca, faces the sea and has hands raised to welcome and salute the returning sky god.

In Nazca, per prior findings, many lines converge on water sources for the flying aquatic to descend and refresh itself, and giant trapezoids point the way back to Tiwanaku. Spirals, four-fingered hands, human heads attached to the head of fish, are some of the features found in both Tiwanaku engravings and the Nazca geoglyphs.

When asked if he thought the Andean sky god might be an ancient astronaut, St. George responded: "I have formulated such a theory, but I am content to allow the sky god to be classified as a purely mythological figure. History is full of examples of mass delusion."
