The Gatekeeper introduces one of history's most intriguing, mythical and largely ignored figures -- Cartaphilus, the Roman centurion who, according to biblical legend, was cursed to immortality by Jesus Christ for his role in the Crucifixion. The novel, based on Sniadach’s screenplay of the same name, follows Cartaphilus as he battles Lucifer and his minions who are hell-bent on stealing ancient relics and using their power to raise the antichrist and unleash him upon the world. Sniadach, who writes full-time, has spent decades studying and researching supernatural/paranormal phenomena from Bigfoot to UFO's, and is considered a leading authority on supernatural religious phenomena. He spent over a year writing The Gatekeeper and the attention to detail shows.
