LAKE TAHOE, Nev. -- Preschool Playhouse by Fairytale Studios features game design that is original and unique to iOS devices. With infinite gameplay, the app is exploratory rather than linear and focuses on two core values for young children; learning and music.
Designed for ages 2-6, Preschool Playhouse is entirely unique to the children’s app genre. The gameplay design is continuous instead of linear as it focuses on imaginative exploration and musical introduction. In the learning games, each correct answer is followed by another question without an ending. This design is ideal for parents as they can not only play along with their children but also allow their children to freely play for hours.
The app plays intuitively with a character as the guide. Sophie and Sam are guitar-playing helpers who ask instructive questions, allowing even the youngest child to understand what to do next. The games use colorful bubbles, an animal safari, aquarium fish, and multiple musical scenes to teach color combinations, animal names, counting, music creation and popular sing-alongs. Each activity not only focuses on specific elements of the learning process but also feels like an exhilarating game, designed to be fun and entertaining.
The music in Preschool Playhouse is professionally recorded and written exclusively for the app. Four unique sing-alongs are a few of the special activities throughout the app. The sing-alongs include The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Rub a Dub Dub, I Love The Mountains, and The Mulberry Bush. Each song features exciting interactions and words to follow along. In addition to the sing-alongs, there is a musical garden that entices the user to explore and play along with a guitar, ukulele or banjo. The interactive elements across the screen are all in the same key of each song, making music creation a breeze. The musical experience engages children and assists in learning the basics of rhythm and pitch.
Preschool Playhouse is available now for iPhone and iPad on the Apple App Store. To celebrate the release, the app is available for $0.99 for a limited time.
