BELFAST, U.K. -- Belfast Health and Social Care Trust delivers integrated health and social care to 340,000 people in Belfast and part of the Borough of Castlereagh. It also provides specialist services to all of Northern Ireland. With an annual budget of approximately £1bn (spending about £3m each day) and a staff of 20,000, it is one of the largest Trusts in the United Kingdom.

The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust recognized that by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its Project Management Office it could increase user adoption of its Microsoft® SharePoint® ECM systems, improve collaboration on projects increasing productivity and ultimately cutting costs. However within a standard SharePoint system there is no easy way to get project related email saved to the Project document libraries. Users previously had to drag and drop to the desktop, rename the item and then upload to SharePoint. As Project Managers typically work with multiple projects, mis-filing documentation was a common occurrence. With around 100 live projects running at any one time this was a huge drain on time and productivity.

To ensure timely and successful completion of all projects the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust wanted to provide specific and detailed information on project activity quickly to all teams and individuals who required it, along with all necessary supporting information and documents.

The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust chose Repstor because it was the obvious choice providing a level of product integration, ease of use and performance not available from other products that provide shallower levels of Microsoft Outlook® to SharePoint integration.
