World Expo of Packaging Industry-Southeast Asia 2026 Sets Sail Again in Jakarta

The World Expo of Packaging Industry–Southeast Asia 2026 will take place from August 27 to 29 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) in Indonesia, building on the strong success of its 2025 debut. Organized by RX, the event is set to expand in both scale and impact, reinforcing its role as a major platform for the packaging industry in Southeast Asia while deepening regional and international collaboration.
Covering over 22,000 square meters, the exhibition will run alongside Paper Chain Expo, Pack Plus, and Bakery ASEAN, creating a comprehensive platform that spans the entire packaging value chain. From raw materials and manufacturing equipment to printing, processing, and end-use applications, the event offers a one-stop hub for sourcing, networking, and industry exchange.
Indonesia’s position as the host country highlights its growing significance as Southeast Asia’s largest economy and a key hub for manufacturing and investment. Rapid growth in sectors such as e-commerce, food delivery, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals is driving increasing demand for sustainable, paper-based, and smart packaging solutions. With access to the wider ASEAN market of over 600 million people, the country provides strong opportunities for industry expansion.
The 2026 edition will also strengthen partnerships with regional industry associations, particularly the Asosiasi Kotak Karton Gelombang Indonesia (AKKGI), which will organize its member companies to participate and host its Annual Convention and Gala Dinner alongside the exhibition. This is expected to bring together over 500 industry leaders and facilitate valuable face-to-face engagement.
In addition, the event will prioritize business matching through targeted programs that connect exhibitors with key buyers, decision-makers, and distributors, with over 25,000 high-quality attendees expected. A series of forums and themed sessions will also explore key industry topics such as sustainability, smart manufacturing, halal packaging standards, and innovation.
Overall, the expo aims to drive industry growth, strengthen China-ASEAN collaboration, and support the continued development of Southeast Asia’s packaging ecosystem.
