CATERHAM, U.K. -- The amazing nursery, which is based in Surrey and part of countrywide nursery chain Asquith, has recently been transformed by an incredible £280k+ refurbishment, and the vast outdoor space boasts stunning features, giving children an unbelievable advantage to outdoor discovery and learning.

Mike the Knight proved to be a fitting mascot for the day as children and adults alike tried out the huge two-storey fort, which can even be lit up at night. The children also marvelled at the wonky house and enjoyed disappearing inside the enormous tipi, which has wooden flooring and can hold more than twenty children at once.

The enjoyable day included a fancy-dress competition, a delicious spread, lots of activities and, of course, trying out the brand new garden features. The immaculate outdoor space is not just a hive of imagination for the under fives though, it also provides children with plenty of opportunities to learn about the world around them. An area dedicated to planting and growing supports children as they understand the lifecycle and how to care for living things. The delicious produce currently being grown by the children includes spinach, Chinese cabbage, broad beans and rhubarb!

Nursery Manager Nicola Edwards commented on the success of the day: "All the parents have said what a wonderful day they had, and the garden looks fantastic. The children have thoroughly enjoyed experiencing all the amazing new garden features and meeting Mike the Knight."
