A specialist in investment management, portfolio information and financial analysis, Greg Lathrop excels as the owner of the eponymous Lathrop Investment Management Corporation (LIMC). Having established his company in 1981 in Little Rock, Arkansas, he possesses more than five decades of professional experience in finance. Among his varying responsibilities, Mr. Lathrop oversees the day-to-day management of the business and manages individuals, corporations, retirement plans and various charities. He is also well-versed in fostering and cultivating talent to aid him in conducting the best work on behalf of his clients.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lathrop served as a trust officer at Worthen Bank & Trust in Little Rock from 1973 to 1981. He also thrived in the same capacity in the trust investment department at the National Bank of Commerce in San Antonio, Texas, from 1970 to 1973. Receiving his chartered financial analyst certification in 1979, he possesses a bachelor's degree in finance from The University of Texas at Austin, which he obtained in 1969. In 1973, he earned a master's degree from St. Mary's University. Impressively, he passed all his examinations to become a chartered financial analyst in the span of four years.
Accruing much expertise over the course of his career, Mr. Lathrop emphasizes the importance of having a long-term plan and remaining committed to that plan despite any obstacles that may create difficulties. He also notes the significance of establishing and maintaining trust between himself and his clients, which also involves open communication and honesty at every stage of the investment process. Over the years, he has placed much trust in a colleague who served as an investment advisor in San Antonio.
