Lantiq, a leading supplier of broadband access and home networking technologies, is showing its breakthrough DSLTE™ technology demo during Computex (http://www.lantiq.com/computex) show in Taiwan. The demonstration is based on a Lantiq reference design that combines a bonded VDSL broadband access link with an additional LTE access link in a single residential Gateway. This advanced technology setup enables equipment manufacturers to provide service carriers with systems offering highest bundled data rates and flawless Quality-of-Service (QoS) that leverage their existing DSL and LTE networks.
Carriers combining mobile and fixed line network access can create one broadband pipe that reaches up to 300 Mbps aggregated data throughput with high reliability.
A growing number of network operators face the competitive challenge to offer broadband access rates beyond 100 Mbps. The pre-integrated LTE Module combined with the Lantiq platform enables throughput of up to 300 Mbps with minimum CPU load
Efficient usage of the aggregated 300 Mbps speeds is controlled by a software based traffic management suite running on the Lantiq GRX network processor
