Having joined the board as an associate sanitary engineer in 2010, since 2019 he is most proud to have worked on the special task force group formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which helped customers who were facing financial difficulties due to job loss and were unable to pay their water bill. He and his team ensured that the customers' water supply was not disrupted during this period.
To prepare for his professional journey, Mr. Chien earned a bachelors degree in environmental science from Tunghai University in Taiwan. Following this achievement, he attained a master's degree in environmental quality management from the University of Southern California. Well-qualified in his field, he is a licensed civil engineer in California and a certified professional engineer. He is also a valued member of the American Water Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Within the coming years, Mr. Chien intends to continue developing and honing his skills. He is also committed to sharing his expertise with young professionals and impart knowledge to help them excel in their careers. His ultimate goal is to become a mentor and coach, guiding the next generation of professionals in his field toward success.
