Martinez, PhD, retired regents' professor from the University of New Mexico, has been selected for a cover feature in the Thirteenth Edition of Marquis Millennium Magazine. Over the course of nearly five decades, Dr. Joseph G. R. Martinez cultivated a wealth of experience as a leader in the field of education. He began his career as a teacher in 1974, operating as a teaching assistant at the University of New Mexico, where he subsequently served as a professor in mathematics from 1985 to 1986, as well as a regents' professor from 1986 until his retirement in 2012. In addition, Dr. Martinez functioned as a professor at the University of Albuquerque between 1982 and 1985, having originally joined the faculty in 1978 as the director of the reading laboratory.
