Mr. Kronen is distinguished for his decade of dedication to mixology, the craft of preparing mixed drinks, as well as a highly successful career as an entrepreneur. As founder and executive director of The Bartender Company, he leads an award-winning company that provides luxury-tier mixology and bartending services for private events. Since founding the company in 2011, he has overseen all its operations, ensuring the highest quality in products and services and establishing and nurturing partnerships. In addition to his leadership role with The Bartender Company, Mr. Kronen also serves as executive director of two other companies: The Mixology Company, which he founded in 2021, and The Bartender Truck, founded in 2016.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Kronen earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, with a secondary major in international relations and a minor in German studies, from Stanford University. After obtaining his degree in 2007, he worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, where he co-managed $150 million in private assets for wealthy clients. In 2011, however, he pivoted to start his first business, the California Copper Trading Company; that company was soon followed by Manta Solar. Mr. Kronen holds Series 31, Series 66 and Series 7 certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Noted for his achievements in the field, Mr. Kronen has received numerous awards. Among his more recent accolades is being named on World's Leaders Media Tech LLC's Unstoppable Business Leaders to Watch in 2023, a 2022 Outstanding Leadership Award from the Food 2.0 Conference, and recognition as one of 2022's Ten Most Inspiring Business Leaders by CXO Outlook. In addition, he received both a Company of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year award from American Business Awards in 2021 and 2020, respectively, and has won multiple WeddingWire Couples' Choice Awards and People Love Us on Yelp Awards. Other recognitions include California Academy of Bartending and Mixology's 2016 Innovator of the Year and DrinkMe Magazine's 2013 Best Mobile Bartenders in America.
Among his many career accomplishments, Mr. Kronen is especially proud of his practice of giving back to others. He serves on the board of trustees for Verde Valley School, his high school alma mater, where he heads its reunion anniversary planning committee. As a Stanford University outreach volunteer, he interviews the university's prospective students and makes recommendations for their admission. Mr. Kronen is proud that The Bartender Company gives a portion of its event proceeds to local charities, including the National Council on Alcoholism Bay Area, San Francisco Ballet, Save The Bay, San Francisco Opera and the League to Save Lake Tahoe.
In the coming years, Mr. Kronen wants to further explore property management and ownership and continue to invest in promising new ventures. As a newly married man, he is looking forward to building a family.
