PITTSBURGH, PA, June 26, 2023 - Alihan Hanoglu has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Hanoglu is a serial entrepreneur who has been in the restaurant industry in the Pittsburgh area for more than 15 years. Originally from Turkey, he came to the U.S. in 2003 and began working as a pizza delivery driver with limited English-speaking skills. Four years later, he opened his first eatery, Giovanni's Pizza and Pasta. Today, Mr. Hanoglu owns and operates six businesses in the U.S., five of which are restaurants.

After two successful years overseeing operations at his pizzeria, Mr. Hanoglu opened Giovanni's Catering Business. He subsequently established Alihan's Mediterranean Cuisine in 2013 as the head chef, an upscale indoor and outdoor restaurant in the cultural district in downtown Pittsburg that features traditional Turkish cuisine, halal meat and poultry, vegan, gluten-free menu items, and more. In 2022, Mr. Hanoglu established Chick 'n' Fish, offering homemade, hand-breaded, and hand-cut chicken and seafood specialties, and Alihan's Coffee and Breakfast, which serves various signature dishes, omelets, waffles, and, as well as beverage items such as coffee and Turkish tea.

Aside from his success as a restaurateur, Mr. Hanoglu has found success as the owner of Rizeli Logistics since 2020. Grateful to his parents, both of whom were restaurant owners, for inspiring him to consider a career in the food industry, he maintains a solid work ethic, frequently working an average of 17 hours per day. Looking toward future investments, Mr. Hanoglu aims to establish a business between Turkey and the US in the import and export industry.

While residing in Turkey, Mr. Hanoglu garnered a bachelor's degree from Marmara University in 2001. He then spent several years working for a sports academy as an instructor before leaving his country for the U.S.

To remain active in the business community, Mr. Hanoglu is a member of the ASKON Business Association.
