TOLLAND, CT, June 21, 2023 - Mauricio Alexander Cubillos has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A leader in the manufacturing industry for more than 25 years, Mr. Cubillos entered the manufacturing industry at 19 years of age. In 2022 he joined TECOMET Inc. out of Boston as SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning) Business transformation leader responsible to integrate change to some of their sixteen sites. During his tenure at Tecomet, he was appointed the role of plant manager overseeing the largest facility of the group. Mr. Cubillos oversees 26 direct reports, comprising a manager and supervisors. He also manages their supply chain located in Warsaw, Indiana. Tecomet was established in 1963 to provide innovate manufacturing solutions for leading medical device technology, aerospace, and defense companies.
Mr. Cubillos was recruited to Tecomet from Chromalloy Gas Turbines LLC in Windsor, Connecticut, through which he served as a SIOP planning manager from 2021 to 2022. He also worked for Paradigm Precision as Director of materials management and contracts manager between 2017 and 2021. Among other noteworthy roles, Mr. Cubillos was affiliated with Technetics Group in Oxford, Massachusetts, as a supply chain & operations manager from 2015 to 2017.
Nevertheless, Mauricio developed a passion for manufacturing planning while working for Volvo Aero, Siemens Energy & PCX Aerostructures from 2005 to 2015 where he held various responsibilities in the planning department. During an earlier stage of his career, Mauricio found success as a machine operator in the textile industry where they specialized in making cashmere, silk and wool fabric for a well-known Italian distributor (Loro Piana). A non-speaking English employee at the time back in 1995, it was his first job after immigrating to the U.S. from Colombia, South America.
Adding to his professional success, Mr. Cubillos co-authored a leadership development program on paradigmprecision.com in 2019. He is also fortunate to be serving as a presenter at the 2023 Global S&OP & IBP Best Practices Conference in Chicago in mid-June 2023.
Active civically, Mr. Cubillos has been coaching youth soccer since 2013. He enjoys giving back to the community, especially the youth.
Mr. Cubillos garnered a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in management from Eastern Connecticut State University (Cum Laude) in 2013. He also received an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Manchester Community College in 2010 along with a certification in Business Science from Goodwin College in addition to credentials as a warehouse safety and hazardous materials trainer through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Among other qualifications, Mr. Cubillos received supply chain certification through the Association for Supply Chain Management. He is fluent in English, Spanish and moderate dialogues in Portuguese and Italian.
Mr. Cubillos was recognized with a President's Award for Operations from Technetics Group in 2016 and a President's Award for a Leadership Development Program from Paradigm Precision in 2019. He credits his positive attitude, continuous learning, and solid relationships to his success.
