Scott Liggett has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

LA CRESCENTA, CA, May 03, 2023 - Scott Liggett has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Leveraging more than five decades of excellence in music production, Mr. Liggett has earned distinction as a Regent of the Board of Regents of the University of the Pacific. Since 2020, he has focused his efforts on overseeing the fiduciary and academic integrity of the university's 10 colleges while mentoring students. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Music Management degree for the University of the Pacific. Additionally, he serves as a music producer, composer and arranger for American Greetings and has been a music producer and composer for the Griffith Observatory's planetarium shows since 2004. Added to these roles, Mr. Liggett is the co-founder and executive producer for LNL Partners LLC, Inc. and for Shatner Universe LLC, developing media entertainment content.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Liggett began his career as a singer and songwriter for the Stuart Little Band from 1970-1974 and became a staff musician with Sahara Lake Tahoe House Orchestras, Al Tronti Orchestra from 1974-1976. During this time, he also performed as a staff musician with Harrah's Lake Tahoe House Orchestras, Brian Farnon Orchestra from 1974-1976 until becoming the founder and executive producer for The Zar Corporation in 1976, a live-stage production company. In 1993, he was a music producer and composer for the Las Vegas MGM Grand Hotel and Casino until taking a role as a music producer and director for the ad agency Wieden+Kennedy and ESPN in 1995-1996.

Mr. Liggett continued his career as a music producer with Walt Disney Home Entertainment in 1999, and at the same time with Priceline.com from 1998-1999. He subsequently functioned as a music producer and composer for the Lance Burton Magic Show, Las Vegas in 2004 and for the NFL Network in 2005-2006. Among other distinguished roles, he worked with NBC Universal Inc., Opus 1 Music Library and The Music Collective. He also co-founded AECG in 1991 and Media City Sound in 1997, serving as vice president and executive producer for the Spirit Music Collective in 2017. He was also an ambassador for The Brubeck Institute from 2000 until 2019.

Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Liggett is proud to have been nominated for an Emmy Award for "NCAA Men's Basketball Championship" at the Sports Emmy Awards in 1994. He was honored with a national Emmy Award for the "Robert Goulet - NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship Campaign" in 1996 as well as with a Silver Telly and Bronze Telly and Gold Telly awards in 2003, 2004, and 2005 respectively. He won the Summer Award for Best Animation and Best Original Score for his work on "William Shatner War Chronicles" in 2017 and won a Los Angeles Movie Award for the same film. Further, he received a University of the Pacific's Distinguished Alumni Award in Professional Service in 2020 and a Hollywood Music in Media Award in Educational or Entertainment Exhibits for producing the music score for the planetarium show "Signs of Life" at the world-famous Griffith Observatory in 2021.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Liggett studied music composition at the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific from 1967-1971. He studied film scoring with Walter Scharf at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1982.

Within the coming years, Mr. Liggett intends to continue his work with the University of the Pacific and work on deeply meaningful music projects. He plans to continue working on the forefront of evolving forms of media, whether they are television, live stage or other immersive endeavors.
