NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - March 8, 2021 - Each year, the students and staff at Fort Worth Christian's Upper School dedicate a week to service. In a normal year, students would serve throughout DFW, travel to various locations around the U.S., and many would serve around the world in countries like Thailand, Dominican Republic, Greece, and Tanzania. This year, due to the limitations caused by COVID-19, all 266 students are serving locally.

Freshman through Seniors, serving alongside their teachers, are fanning out around DFW, serving for several hours each day at organizations like Mission Arlington, 6 Stones in Euless, the Community Enrichment Center in North Richland Hills, Christ's Haven for Children in Keller, GRACE in Grapevine, Hope Farm in Fort Worth, Just Because in Farmers Branch, Southlake Church of Christ in Fort Worth, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Brother Bill's Helping Hand in Dallas, and Project Home and The Welman Project, also in Fort Worth. Some worship team students, besides helping with Community Table in North Richland Hills, are singing in various nursing homes. In addition, students and staff, partnering with Kids Around the World, will be participating in a food packing event on campus on Monday and Tuesday. On Thursday and Friday of Service Week, CitySquare of Dallas will be hosting a poverty simulation activity.

The vision of Fort Worth Christian School is to empower students for a lifetime of faith, service, and leadership for Christ. Service Week is a signature program of our Upper School focusing on service as a co-curricular effort of our school.
