leave a job 放弃工作

虽然是 leave somewhere,但 somewhere 的位置如果被 school, home, country, job 或 company 等名词代替的话就表示“完全退出，离开”。不过，leave work 并不是放弃工作，而是“下班”（get off work）的意思。
