Global Connected Car vendor Bright Box obtains ISO/IEC 27001 certification for the next 3 years

November 17, 2020 - Bright Box, a global vendor of solutions for the connected car industry, today announced that has received the firm’s ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for another 3 years-long period, the most widely recognized internationally recognized standard outlining best practices for information security management systems issued by external auditors — by the BSI (British Standards Institution). For the achievement of certification, Bright Box completed supervisory the standard audit completely at a distance.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard published in October 2013 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 requires the certification of an organization’s information security management controls for areas such as data security, risk management, and business continuity. The certificate is issued for 3 years, has an annual recertification procedure, and is fully confirmed every 3 years.

For the achievement of certification for the next 3 years, Bright Box completed supervisory the standard audit by meeting the requirements of the standard for information security management system. The certification covers processes of product development and implementation, platform adoption, support, maintenance, and operations (processed in Moscow). It provides an opportunity to show that Bright Box meets the requirements for information security in accordance with this international standard as well as the hard work of the information security team. This year the audit was completely remote.
