BURLINGTON, Ontario - Oct. 22, 2020 - A local small business that teaches kids to code, Code Ninjas, is making sure kids in Burlington and across Canada, have the chance to enjoy the spirit of Halloween! Code Ninjas has built a virtual Trick or Treating experience inside the popular game, Roblox, to help ensure that families uncertain of how to safely Trick or Treat this year don't miss out on the fun holiday.

Franchisee owners, Ian and Shauna Chan, coordinated efforts with other Code Ninjas locations across Canada to provide this Virtual Trick or Treating Event that kids will love. Open and free to all kids, the event will be hosted inside a custom Roblox world created by Code Senseis™ at Code Ninjas.

The Roblox portion of the event begins 4:00 pm EST on October 31st. Participation is free and only requires a free Roblox account set up ahead of time, available online, and a computer/tablet device or gaming console to access the Roblox platform.

Participants do not need any prior coding experience. Sign up via the Facebook Event Page: https://www.facebook.com/events/393193958513772/ to gain access to the link when it goes live on Oct 31st. In addition, Code Ninjas Burlington will be giving away gift cards for ROBUX, virtual currency for Roblox, to kids posting their picture in their costume playing the Virtual Trick or Treat game with the hashtag #codeninjasburlington.

The Chans also established Code Ninjas Village inside their franchise to help the 10% of kids in Burlington who are living in poverty. With the help of local businesses, the Village will provide free access to the Code Ninjas program for kids in poverty and give them the chance to learn a life skill that will have the potential to break the cycle of poverty and start them off on a solid trajectory for the rest of their life. "Our goal is to have 50 sponsored kids and sponsors.
