Zoom is Reportedly Down, First Classes Imperiled

WASHINGTON - Aug. 24, 2020 - Zoom, the popular website for meetings - including many college and university classes - is reportedly down, and this comes as many institutions of higher education which have switched to on-line learning for most if not all of their their courses are scheduled to begin those courses.

Zoom is reportedly one of the most popular platforms for delivering on-line teaching as a great many colleges and universities have been forced by the pandemic to switch to remote learning, notes public interest law professor John Banzhaf.

Indeed, that's why so many refer to what they expect to receive in the way of education this fall is attended "Zoom University."

Thus thousand of professors who have been forced to revamp their courses to be taught on Zoom, and to hurriedly learn the intricacies of working with this program, are likely to be unable to suddenly switch to Google meetings or some other program to begin their teaching today.

So students who are already very disappointed that they will be receiving their very expensive educations this fall on line rather than in person will no doubt be doubly disappointed if they are unable to even log on to their favorite subject or professor on this first day of classes from many institutions of higher education, says Banzhaf.
