WASHINGTON - Aug. 3, 2020 -According to a new report issued by Creative Investment Research, as of August 3, 2020, $7.854 billion in corporate pledges have been made to facilitate efforts that support racial justice. Just six companies account for 70% of that total.
The report, summarized on LinkedIn, The top six organizations making pledges to Black Lives Matter are:
1. Ford Foundation, et.al.: $1.7 billion
2. PNC $1.05 billion.
3. Bank of America: $1 billion
4. PayPal $530 million
5. PepsiCo: $445 million
6. Wells Fargo: $400 million.
Our analysis reveals that the top 6 pledges total $5.4 billion, or 70% of the $7.854 billion total. The remaining 137 pledges sum to $2.6 billion, or 30% of the total amount.
