BRISTOL, U.K. - Aug. 3, 2020 - South West based hot air balloon flight company Aerosaurus Balloons has given 28 free balloon flights to key workers and hospital staff. The gesture is one that shows great appreciation for all the hard work carried out by key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
In late April 2020, Aerosaurus Balloons announced that they had given 14 free balloon flights to the hardworking covid-19 nurses and carers of Southmead A&E. Along with this announcement came an invitation for Facebook users to nominate key workers they know, who deserve to be rewarded with a free balloon ride.
The invitation was met with some great responses and some truly heroic stories were told about the diligence and compassion of key workers up and down the country. The 14 winners of the nomination process were announced live on Facebook on May 7th. Congratulations to each and every key worker who received their free balloon flight.
Now, Aerosaurus Balloons has opened up the floor to businesses across the South West, asking them if they'd wish to sponsor a flight location. These sponsorships will enable the balloon flight providers to offer free flights to even more key workers, rewarding them for their bravery in such unprecedented and challenging circumstances.
The key workers and hospital staff who won the balloon flights will be flying over Bristol, taking in the splendid scenery offered up by the vibrant city and the surrounding beauty of the countryside. Taking off from Ashton Court Estate, the 28 key workers will immediately be drawn to the nearby 850 acres of mixed woodland and the deer park.
With normality in society gradually returning, Aerosaurus Balloons (https://www.ballooning.co.uk) wish to welcome the key workers to their baskets as soon as possible. Currently, they are not running any group flights due to social distancing guidelines and precautions over reducing the spread of the virus. Aerosaurus Balloons are, however, able to provide private balloon flights for up to five people as we speak.
As soon as it is completely safe to do so, the 28 key workers will be soaring high above the historic city of Bristol.
